The Toshiba TLP2355(TPR,E) is a single-channel 5 Mbps photocoupler with a DC input and a push-pull, totem-pole output stage. The 250ns max propagation delay on both edges keeps the timing budget predictable for closed-loop control.
The 3750Vrms isolation rating covers reinforced insulation for mains-connected equipment; it passes the 1-minute hipot test per IEC 60747-5-5. Rise and fall times of 15ns and 12ns typical keep the output edges clean at the 5 Mbps data rate; the 250ns max propagation delay is symmetric, so pulse-width distortion stays low. Supply voltage spans 3V to 20V, so the same part works on 3.3V logic rails and 24V industrial backplanes without a secondary regulator.
