Dual 4-input AND gate in 14-TSSOP
The 74VHC21FT is a dual 4-input AND gate from Toshiba's 74VHC series, packaged in a 14-TSSOP (0.173", 4.40mm width) surface-mount package. It operates from 2V to 5.5V and delivers a maximum propagation delay of 7ns at 5V with a 50pF load. Each of the two independent AND gates has four inputs, and the device can source or sink 8mA per output. Quiescent current is a maximum of 2µA, making it suitable for battery-powered or low-power logic chains.
Temperature range and output drive
The input logic thresholds are specified as 0.5V to 1.65V for low and 1.5V to 3.85V for high, which scale with the supply rail. The 8mA output drive at both high and low states is typical for the VHC family and is sufficient for driving CMOS inputs on the same board or short PCB traces. For longer runs or higher fan-out, a buffer stage may be needed.
