Product details

500 mA per-channel sink driver with AEC-Q100 qualification

Each channel integrates the base-drive resistor and a suppression diode for inductive loads, so a relay, solenoid, or lamp bank connects directly to the output pin with no external flyback diode.

Vce saturation and load-current headroom

Maximum Vce saturation is 1.6 V at 500 µA base current and 350 mA collector current. At the full 500 mA rating the saturation voltage climbs — budget 1.8–2.0 V typical — so the load supply must be at least 2 V above the load's minimum operating voltage to keep the Darlington in saturation. The 50 V Vce breakdown gives ample margin for a 24 V industrial bus or a 48 V automotive auxiliary rail.

Product status is Active.

Frequently asked questions

Is ULN2803ADWG4 a direct replacement for ULN2803A?

The ULN2803ADWG4 is the AEC-Q100 automotive-qualified variant of the standard ULN2803A. Electrically they are identical — same 500 mA per-channel rating, same 50 V breakdown, same 18-SOIC footprint. The AEC-Q100 grade adds traceability and qualification documentation required for automotive BOMs. For non-automotive builds the ULN2803A is functionally interchangeable.
