What this single 10A gate driver delivers
The UCC27614DSGR is a single-channel low-side gate driver rated for 10A peak source and 10A peak sink current. That drive strength, combined with 4.5 ns typical rise and 4 ns fall times, means it can switch large N-channel MOSFETs with minimal crossover conduction loss — a key parameter when you are pushing switching frequency above 100 kHz in a DC-DC converter or synchronous rectifier stage. Supply voltage range is 4.5 V to 16 V, so it runs off a standard 5 V or 12 V bias rail without an extra regulator. The input accepts both inverting and non-inverting signals, giving flexibility to match the PWM controller output polarity without an external inverter gate.
Housed in an 8-WFDFN with exposed pad, the supplier device package is 8-WSON (2x2). In a 70°C ambient motor-drive enclosure, that 150°C ceiling buys margin for the self-heating from 10 A gate-drive pulses.
