That combination means it can charge and discharge the gate capacitance of a medium-power MOSFET fast enough to keep switching losses in check — think DC-DC converters, synchronous rectifier stages, and primary-side switches in isolated supplies.
Supply rail and logic interface
The driver operates from a 4 V to 18 V supply rail, covering the common 5 V, 12 V, and 15 V gate drive voltages used in most offline and intermediate-bus converters. Logic input thresholds are 1.3 V (VIL) and 1.85 V (VIH), so it interfaces directly with 1.8 V and 3.3 V PWM controllers or MCU outputs without a level-shifter. Both inverting and non-inverting input options are available on the same package — the designer chooses the polarity that matches the controller output without adding an external inverter gate.
