Dual 5A low-side driver — what it drives and how fast
It drives N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs from a 4.5V to 18V supply rail — covering standard 5V, 12V, and 15V gate drive voltages without an extra regulator. The two channels are independent with inverting input logic, meaning a logic HIGH on the input turns the gate OFF. This inverting polarity is a deliberate choice for control loops where the PWM signal needs to be inverted at the driver stage.
Thermal headroom and package — where it survives
Surface-mount only — the 0.118-inch body width and exposed pad suit compact power stages on 2-layer or 4-layer boards. The pad is the primary heat path; a solid copper pour with at least four vias under the pad keeps the driver within its thermal budget during continuous 5A gate charge cycles.
