4 A peak drive in a SOT-23-5 — what it buys the layout
The UCC27519DBVT is a single-channel low-side gate driver from Texas Instruments that delivers 4 A peak source and 4 A peak sink current from a SOT-23-5 package. It drives both N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs with a non-inverting input, and its 8 ns typical rise and 7 ns fall time keep switching losses low in hard-switched converters.
Supply range and thermal headroom
The supply voltage spans 4.5 V to 18 V, covering 5 V and 12 V gate-drive rails common in industrial and automotive power stages. The junction temperature rating of -40°C to 140°C (TJ) gives 15°C of margin over the usual 125°C industrial limit, which matters when the driver sits next to a hot MOSFET or IGBT in a cramped enclosure.
