Automotive low-side gate driver in SOT-23-5
The UCC27517AQDBVRQ1: It runs from a 4.5V to 18V supply rail, covering the nominal 12V automotive battery range with margin for cold-crank dips and load-dump transients.
Gate drive performance and switching edge
The 4A peak current capability drives the gate capacitance of IGBTs and N-channel MOSFETs with a strong pull-up/pull-down, minimizing the Miller plateau duration and keeping switching losses low in hard-switched topologies. The 8ns/7ns rise/fall time (typical at 1nF load) allows tight dead-time control in synchronous rectification stages; the actual edge rate into a larger load capacitance scales with the available drive current.
Package, footprint, and sourcing posture
Housed in a SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) package, the footprint is compact enough for space-constrained ECU layouts — the 0.95mm pin pitch routes easily on a two-layer board with a thermal pad under the device for heat sinking.
