Automotive low-side driver – 4A peak, dual channel
Each of the two independent non-inverting channels delivers 4A peak source and 4A peak sink current, enough to drive large N-channel or P-channel MOSFET gates through the Miller plateau without excessive switching loss. The 20ns rise and 15ns fall times at the 4A drive level let the designer size the external gate resistor to control EMI without sacrificing turn-off speed.
Ambient range and package – 125°C, 8-HVSSOP
The 8-HVSSOP package with exposed pad provides a low thermal resistance path to the PCB copper plane; the logic thresholds are set at 1V (VIL) and 2V (VIH), compatible with 3.3V and 5V controllers. Compared to the half-bridge LM5106MM/NOPB, the UCC27424QDGNRQ1 is a simpler low-side topology with independent channels, a wider supply range (4V-15V vs 8V typical), and higher peak current (4A vs 1.2A) – a direct fit for dual-MOSFET or multiphase gate-drive stages where bootstrap supply is not available.
Sourcing – active production, AEC-Q100 traceability
No end-of-life notification or successor has been issued. The AEC-Q100 qualification means each reel carries traceable lot codes; buyers should confirm the date-code spread matches their production window when sourcing from surplus lots.
