Dual 4A low-side driver for switched-mode power stages
The Texas Instruments UCC27423DR is a dual-channel, low-side gate driver designed for driving N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs in power-conversion and motor-drive circuits. Each of the two independent channels delivers a symmetric peak output current of 4A source and 4A sink, making this part suitable for switching large gate-charge devices at moderate frequencies. The inverting input logic simplifies interface to PWM controllers that require an inverted drive signal. Supply range spans 4V to 15V, covering common bias rails for 5V and 12V gate-drive stages. The 20ns rise and 15ns fall times keep cross-conduction losses low in half-bridge applications where the driver controls the low-side FET.
Independent channels and logic thresholds
Logic thresholds are 1V for VIL and 2V for VIH.
