Single-channel 9A low-side driver in a rework-friendly DIP
The Texas Instruments UCC27322P is a single-channel, non-inverting, low-side gate driver designed to drive N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs with a peak source and sink current of 9A each. It operates from a 4V to 15V supply, making it compatible with 5V logic inputs and 12V gate-drive rails. The 20ns typical rise and fall times support fast switching in power converters, motor drives, and class-D audio amplifiers. Housed in an 8-pin PDIP through-hole package, it is straightforward to hand-solder and rework on a prototype or low-volume board.
The 9A peak source and sink current is the headline rating. The 20ns typical rise/fall time in the datasheet is a more realistic benchmark.
For BOM planning, the 8-PDIP package is a mature, widely stocked form factor.
