3A peak gate drive for fast half-bridge switching
The Texas Instruments UCC27201ADRCR is a high-voltage half-bridge gate driver with independent N-channel MOSFET drive channels, each rated for 3A peak source and 3A peak sink current. The 8 ns rise and 7 ns fall times (typical) at the gate let it drive the MOSFET Miller plateau quickly, reducing switching loss in synchronous buck, full-bridge, and LLC resonant converters. The bootstrap high-side supply is rated to 120 V maximum, which covers 48 V, 72 V, and 100 V bus rails with margin.
Package and footprint for power layouts
Surface-mount assembly with the exposed pad soldered to a copper plane keeps the junction temperature within the -40°C to 140°C range under continuous 3A gate drive.
