Half-bridge driver with 3A gate drive and 120V bootstrap
It delivers 3A peak source and sink current, with 8ns typical rise time and 7ns typical fall time, enabling fast switching transitions that reduce cross-conduction losses in synchronous buck, full-bridge, and three-phase inverter stages. The bootstrap high-side driver supports a maximum voltage of 120V, making it suitable for 48V, 72V, and 96V DC bus systems common in industrial motor drives, battery-powered tools, and telecom power converters.
Supply rail and logic-level compatibility
Operating from a single 8V to 17V supply rail, the driver is a direct fit for 12V bias rails found in most industrial and automotive power stages. The logic input thresholds — 0.8V VIL and 2.5V VIH — are compatible with 3.3V and 5V PWM controllers from MCUs, DSPs, or dedicated controllers without external level shifting. The independent channel architecture means each output can be controlled separately, which simplifies dead-time insertion and allows asymmetric drive timing for optimised efficiency in resonant or phase-shifted topologies.
Temperature range and thermal design
The 140°C junction maximum is a hard limit — the 8-SOIC package's thermal impedance (RθJA ~120°C/W) means that at 3A peak drive with high switching frequencies, the die temperature rise must be calculated against the ambient. For ambient above 85°C, a heatsink or forced airflow is typically required.
