Multi-topology current-mode PWM controller in SOIC-8
The Texas Instruments UC2843D8TR is a current-mode PWM controller supporting step-up, step-down, and step-up/step-down topologies including boost, buck, buck-boost, flyback, and forward converters. It drives a single external transistor with a 97% maximum duty cycle, making it suitable for designs that need wide output regulation range. Operating from a 12 V to 28 V supply rail, the controller switches at up to 500 kHz and includes frequency control for tuning the oscillator.
The supplier device package is 8-SOIC. The SOIC-8 footprint is widely used and compatible with many existing power-supply layouts.
It is ROHS3 compliant, so it meets the current EU restriction on hazardous substances without exemption. Because it is an active part, it is sourced through authorized distribution channels.
