Automotive-grade 8-bit level translator with auto-direction sensing
The auto-direction sensing feature eliminates the need for a direction-control pin; the part determines data flow from the drive strength on each side, which simplifies both PCB layout and firmware overhead.
Rated for 110 Mbps, this translator handles SPI clock rates up to 50 MHz comfortably, plus UART, I2C (in push-pull mode), and general-purpose GPIO expansion. The open-drain output option lets it work on I2C-style multi-drop buses where wired-AND logic is required; push-pull mode gives the full data rate for point-to-point links.
Supply-domain flexibility
That covers the standard logic rails: 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V on the A side, and 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5.0 V on the B side.
Housed in a 20-TSSOP (4.40 mm width) with a 0.65 mm pitch, the footprint is standard for this pin count. The supplier device package is 20-TSSOP, surface-mount only.
