Automotive-grade serial link at 4.16 Gbps
The Texas Instruments TSER953RHBT is a MIPI CSI-2 serializer that aggregates up to 5 parallel camera inputs into a single 4.16 Gbps serial stream over a coaxial or STP cable. Rated Automotive (AEC-Q200) and active in production, it targets surround-view and driver-monitoring camera modules where the cable run is long and the ECU is remote.
Supply rail and interface compatibility
Core supply is 1.71 V to 1.89 V — a clean 1.8 V rail from a nearby LDO or buck converter is sufficient. The MIPI CSI-2 input accepts up to 4 data lanes plus clock at the standard D-PHY voltage levels. The single serial output (VLink) carries the aggregated data plus embedded clock and control channel, so a single coax or twisted pair replaces the multi-lane ribbon cable that would otherwise run from the camera head to the processor.
