What this LDO brings to the rail
The Texas Instruments TPS7A0528PDQNT is a fixed 2.8 V output, 200 mA LDO in a 4-X2SON package (1x1 mm). It pulls just 3 µA quiescent current, making it a candidate for battery-powered or always-on rails where every microamp counts. The 40 dB PSRR holds flat from 1 kHz to 1 MHz, so it cleans up switching-regulator ripple across a wide band — useful for analog or RF front-end supplies that can't tolerate noise.
Protection and control
Built-in over-current, over-temperature, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protect the load and the regulator itself. The Enable pin lets a microcontroller or power sequencer gate the output — no external load-switch needed for a 200 mA rail.
Temperature range and environment
Rated for junction temperature from -40°C to 125°C. That covers automotive under-hood, outdoor telecom cabinets, and industrial enclosures where the board sees thermal cycling. The 4-X2SON with exposed pad helps pull heat into the PCB copper — no heatsink, but the board layout needs a thermal via under the pad.
