100 mA adjustable LDO with wide temperature range
The TPS76901SDBVTEP: Input voltage range goes up to 10 V, and the output can be set from a 1.2 V minimum up to 4.5 V using an external resistor divider.
PSRR is 60 dB at 1 kHz — this means the regulator attenuates 1 kHz ripple on the input by a factor of 1000. For a 100 mV p-p switching ripple at 1 kHz, less than 100 µV appears at the output, which keeps noise-sensitive analog supplies (ADC reference, PLL VCO) clean. Quiescent current is 28 µA typical — the regulator's own draw is low enough for always-on battery-powered designs where the load sleeps most of the time. The enable pin (active-high) lets the system shut down the rail entirely, dropping Iq to near-zero. Built-in protection covers over-current, over-temperature, and reverse polarity — the LDO survives a brief output short, a thermal runaway condition, or a reversed input without external clamp diodes in most cases.
Package and board-fit note
The TPS76901SDBVTEP comes in a SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) surface-mount package. The 5-pin footprint is standard across the industry — pick-and-place machines handle it without special nozzles, and the small body keeps board area under 9 mm².
The part is RoHS3 compliant, so it fits current EU and global RoHS requirements without a waiver.
