Dual-rail AMOLED power — what the output voltages mean for panel bias
The TPS65631WDSKR is a dual-output DC/DC converter from Texas Instruments purpose-built for AMOLED display bias supplies. It generates a fixed 4.6 V positive rail and a programmable negative rail adjustable from -1.4 V down to -4.4 V — the two voltages an AMOLED panel needs for source-driver and gate-driver bias. Input range of 2.9 V to 4.5 V covers a single-cell Li-ion battery across its discharge curve, so the part can run directly off the battery without a pre-regulator in portable AMOLED applications.
