Photoflash capacitor charger with integrated IGBT driver
The TPS65563ARGTT is a dedicated IC that charges a photoflash capacitor and drives an IGBT to fire the xenon flash tube. It operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply, drawing 2 mA typical supply current, and is housed in a 16-VQFN (3x3 mm) package with an exposed thermal pad.
Supply range and quiescent draw
The 2.7V to 5.5V supply range lets the part run directly from a single Li-ion cell or a 3.3V/5V logic rail. The 2 mA supply current is low enough that the quiescent draw won't drain a camera battery during standby.
Application fit: xenon flash systems
This part is built for photoflash capacitor charging and IGBT driving in xenon flash applications — think DSLR camera strobes, studio flash units, or industrial strobe systems.
