Five-rail PMIC for SoC and FPGA power trees
The Texas Instruments TPS65262-2RHBT is a power-management IC that integrates three synchronous step-down (buck) converters and two low-dropout linear regulators (LDOs) in a single 32-VQFN (5x5) package. The three bucks are rated at 3 A, 1 A, and 1 A respectively, each adjustable down to 0.6 V, while the two LDOs provide clean auxiliary rails for analogue or I/O domains. The 600 kHz switching frequency balances inductor size against efficiency for most mid-power designs.
Input range and thermal envelope
The supply input accepts 4.5 V to 18 V, covering common 5 V and 12 V intermediate buses without an external pre-regulator.
