What the 5-output topology means for your rail budget
The TPS65262-1RHBT packs three synchronous buck converters and two LDOs into a single 32-VQFN (5x5) package — five adjustable outputs from a 4.5V to 18V supply rail. The primary buck channel delivers up to 3A, while the two secondary buck channels each source 1A. That 3A rail is the one you size the inductor for; the 1A channels are fine with a smaller 2.2 µH or 1 µH part depending on the output voltage. All five outputs are adjustable down to 0.6V reference, so the same PMIC can power a 1.2V core, a 3.3V I/O, and a 1.8V analog rail from a single 12V input. The switching frequency is fixed at 600 kHz — that keeps the inductor small but the ripple current is higher than a 2 MHz part, so check the output capacitor ESR budget.
