Dual 3 A / 2 A buck converter with adjustable rails
The TPS65252RHDR integrates two synchronous buck regulators in a single 28-VFQFN package, delivering 3 A on channel 1 and 2 A on channel 2. Both outputs are adjustable from 0.8 V up to 15 V, with the input spanning 4.5 V to 16 V. A lower frequency cuts switching losses for efficiency; a higher frequency shrinks the inductor and output capacitor. The synchronous rectifier keeps the freewheeling diode drop out of the loss budget, which matters when the output is below 3.3 V.
Temperature grade and package constraints
Without adequate via count, the junction temperature rises above the ambient limit under full 3 A load.
