LCD bias PMIC for 8.6V to 14.7V input rails
The Texas Instruments TPS65175RSHR is a power-management IC designed to generate the multiple bias voltages required by TFT-LCD panels in TV and monitor applications. It accepts an input supply from 8.6V up to 14.7V — typically a regulated 12V rail — and produces the positive gate drive (VGH), negative gate drive (VGL), analog supply (AVDD), and VCOM reference that a TFT-LCD column driver and gate driver need.
Outdoor digital signage, industrial HMI panels, and automotive cabin displays all fall within this envelope. The 85°C ceiling means the thermal design must keep the QFN package's exposed-pad junction below the silicon limit at full load; the derating curve in the datasheet sets the output-current ceiling at the high end of the temperature range.
Housed in a 56-VFQFN with an exposed thermal pad, 7x7 mm body (supplier device package 56-VQFN).
