The Texas Instruments TPS65132L0YFFT is a dual-output DC-DC converter designed specifically as a bias supply for TFT LCD panels. It takes an input from 2.5V to 5.5V and generates two regulated output rails, each adjustable between ±4V and ±6V. The two outputs let you produce the positive gate-drive voltage and the negative source-drive voltage that active-matrix LCDs need, without a separate inverting regulator.
Input range and output adjustability — design margin for the bias rails
The 2.5V to 5.5V input range covers single-cell Li-ion (3.0V–4.2V) and 3.3V or 5V regulated rails. That means the same part works in battery-powered handhelds and in systems with a clean 5V supply.
