Protection features that save a supervisor IC
On-chip fault protection covers over-temperature and under-voltage lockout. The under-voltage lockout prevents the PMIC from operating with a sagging input that would otherwise cause erratic rail sequencing — a common failure in battery-powered designs that would normally require an external voltage monitor.
Package and thermal land — 40-VQFN with exposed pad
Supplied in a 40-VFQFN exposed-pad package, the supplier device package is 40-VQFN measuring 6x6 mm. Without it, the junction temperature rises above the 85°C ambient ceiling even at moderate load.
