The TPS63036YFGR is a synchronous buck-boost regulator from Texas Instruments that delivers a 1A switch current at 2.4MHz switching frequency. That 1A is the internal switch current limit, not the continuous output — derate for the buck-boost topology: expect ~800 mA continuous output from a 3.3V rail when the input is near 2.5V, and less at the extremes of the 1.8V to 5.5V input range. Synchronous rectification and adjustable output range
Synchronous rectification eliminates the external Schottky diode, keeping the BOM count low — two inductors and a handful of ceramic caps. The adjustable output spans 1.2V to 5.5V, set by a resistor divider. The single-output positive configuration delivers a regulated rail above, below, or equal to the input, which is the defining advantage of a buck-boost over a simple buck or boost for battery-powered designs where the battery voltage straddles the rail.
