2.4 MHz switching frequency — inductor size vs efficiency
The TPS62A01ADRLR switches at 2.4 MHz, which lets you use a physically smaller inductor compared to a lower-frequency regulator. The trade-off is slightly higher switching losses, but for a 1 A rail in a space-constrained board the smaller inductor usually wins. With a 1 A output rating in the SOT-563 package, the thermal limit is set by the copper area on the PCB.
Input and output voltage range — rail compatibility
Because it is a synchronous buck with the rectifier integrated, you do not need an external Schottky diode. That saves one component and one placement, which matters when the board is already dense.
