1A step-down in a 0.8 mm pitch SOT-583
The TPS629211QDRLRQ1 is a synchronous buck converter delivering 1 A continuous output from a 3 V to 10 V input rail, with an adjustable output from 0.4 V up to 5.5 V. The internal synchronous rectifier eliminates the external Schottky diode, saving two components and a placement step on the line. The SOT-583 package (1.6 mm × 1.6 mm, 0.8 mm pitch) is a compact footprint for space-constrained point-of-load rails. The 0.4 V minimum output covers the latest low-voltage core supplies for FPGAs and SoCs.
Switching frequency flexibility and thermal range
The switching frequency is selectable between 1 MHz and 2.5 MHz via a pin strap, letting the designer trade off inductor size against efficiency. At 2.5 MHz the inductor drops to the 1 µH range, shrinking the overall solution footprint. The 150°C TJ max provides margin for self-heating in a small package at full load.
