Product details

4 A point-of-load regulator — parametric envelope

The TPS6286820CRQYR: The 2.4 MHz switching frequency keeps the inductor and output capacitor physically small — a 1 µH inductor and 22 µF ceramic output cap are typical for a 3.3 V to 1.8 V conversion at 4 A. Output voltage is adjustable from 0.8 V to 3.35 V via an external resistor divider, covering core voltages for modern digital logic (0.9 V, 1.2 V, 1.8 V) as well as I/O and auxiliary rails. The integrated synchronous rectifier eliminates the external Schottky diode and improves efficiency at low output voltages — expect >90 % efficiency at 3.3 V in to 1.8 V out at 2 A.

Frequently asked questions

Will TPS6286820CRQYR drop into a board designed for TPS65261RHBT?

No — the TPS65261RHBT is a triple-output buck converter in a different package (40-QFN vs 9-VQFN-HR) with a different pinout and output count. The two parts are not pin-compatible or footprint-compatible without a board layout change.
