2A continuous in a 2×2 mm SOT-583
The TPS6285021HQDRLRQ1 is a synchronous buck regulator from Texas Instruments, rated for 2A continuous output at a fixed 3.3V. The 1.8 MHz to 4 MHz switching range lets you place the fundamental above the AM broadcast band for noise-sensitive automotive loads, or drop to the lower end to improve light-load efficiency. The SOT-583 package measures roughly 2×2 mm — the copper pad area on the PCB sets the thermal resistance, so the layout footprint directly determines how much current you can draw at 125°C ambient without hitting the thermal shutdown.
Automotive temperature grade and input range
The input voltage range of 2.7V to 6V suits 3.3V or 5V rails in automotive ECUs, infotainment, and ADAS sensor power chains. Synchronous rectification eliminates the external Schottky diode, keeping the BOM count low and the efficiency curve flat across load. The fixed 3.3V output means no external feedback divider — one less resistor pair to place and qualify.
Texas Instruments lists no PCN or EOL notice for this order code as of the current date.
