750 mA buck in an 8-pin HVSSOP — layout and thermal budget
This is a 1.8 MHz synchronous step-down regulator delivering up to 750 mA from a 1.8V to 6.5V input rail. No external compensation components are required — the DCS-Control™ architecture uses a constant on-time control loop that remains stable over the full output range with ceramic output capacitors. For a typical 5V input to 3.3V output, expect efficiency above 90% at 200-500 mA load; the exact curve depends on inductor DCR and output capacitor ESR.
