The TPS62823DLCT is a 3 A continuous-rated synchronous step-down (buck) converter from Texas Instruments, packing the full output into an 8-VSON-HR package that measures just 2x1.5 mm on the board. The 2.2 MHz switching frequency lets you use a 1 µH or smaller inductor, which helps keep the total solution height under 1.2 mm for tight card-edge assemblies.
