1A buck with wide temperature range
The TPS62811MWRWYR is a synchronous step-down (buck) regulator delivering 1A continuous output from a 2.75V to 6V input rail. Output is adjustable from 0.6V up to 5.5V, covering common 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V logic and sensor rails. The 1.8 MHz to 4 MHz switching frequency range lets the designer use small 0603 or 0805 inductors and ceramic output capacitors, shrinking the total solution footprint.
Wettable flank for AOI verification
Packaged in a 9-VFQFN-HR (3x2 mm) with wettable flanks, the TPS62811MWRWYR allows automated optical inspection (AOI) of the solder joints after reflow — a requirement in automotive and high-reliability production lines where hidden QFN solder fillets are otherwise unverifiable. The synchronous rectifier is integrated, eliminating the external Schottky diode and reducing BOM count. The adjustable output is set with a single resistor divider.
It is ROHS3 compliant, exempt from lead-free restrictions for high-reliability soldering processes. Supplied on tape and reel (cut tape available), the 9-VFQFN-HR package is compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly.
