4 MHz switching — the inductor shrinks
The TPS62802YKAR switches at 4 MHz, which lets the designer drop the inductor value into the sub-1 µH range and use a 0402 or 0603 ceramic — the whole power stage fits in about 8 mm² of board area. That switching frequency also pushes the fundamental ripple above the AM radio band, so the noise couples less into sensitive analog front-ends.
1 A output in a 0.70 mm pitch DSBGA
1 A continuous output from a 6-pin DSBGA measuring 1.05 x 0.70 mm — the thermal limit is the board copper, not the silicon. The 0.70 mm pitch rules out hand assembly; a stencil with 0.35 mm apertures and X-ray inspection are the production baseline. The output adjusts from 1.8 V up to 3.3 V with a single resistor divider — no external compensation needed.
