The TPS62770YFPR is a dual-output power-management IC combining a step-down (buck) and step-up (boost) converter in one 16-DSBGA package. Both outputs use synchronous rectification and switch at 1.05 MHz.
Output current per rail — what each number means for the BOM
The IC provides multiple current ratings: 300 mA, 30 mA, 100 mA, and 200 mA. These correspond to the maximum output current capability of each rail under typical conditions. The 300 mA buck rail can power a 1.8 V or 3.3 V digital core; the 30 mA and 100 mA rails suit lower-current analog or bias supplies; the 200 mA boost rail handles a higher-voltage load like an OLED bias or sensor supply. Because the outputs are programmable, the designer sets the exact voltage per rail via external resistor dividers.
Surface-mount assembly requires a solder-paste stencil matched to the ball diameter and a reflow profile compatible with the 85°C maximum operating temperature. No exposed thermal pad — heat dissipation relies on the PCB copper plane under the BGA.
