300 mA DCS-Control buck for battery-powered nodes
The Texas Instruments TPS62743YFPR is a 300 mA step-down (buck) converter built around the DCS-Control™ topology, which combines a hysteretic comparator with a fixed 1.2 MHz switching frequency. The architecture delivers fast transient response and high efficiency across light to moderate loads — the operating regime for BLE sensors, IoT edge nodes, and coin-cell-powered wearables.
Input range and programmable output
Input voltage spans 2.15 V to 5.5 V. Output is programmable from 1.2 V to 3.3 V.
8-DSBGA package and thermal profile
Housed in an 8-bump DSBGA (0.35 mm pitch, 0.9 mm × 1.3 mm body), the TPS62743YFPR is a wafer-level chip-scale package. The small footprint suits space-constrained PCBs, but the 0.35 mm pitch requires a solder-mask-defined pad and a controlled reflow profile — standard for DSBGA assembly.
