6 MHz switching — what it buys the board
The TPS62601YFFT switches at 6 MHz, which lets the output filter use a sub-1 µH inductor and small ceramic capacitors — the inductor footprint shrinks to a 2.0 × 1.6 mm or smaller, saving real estate on a dense board. Fixed 1.8V output at 500 mA with synchronous rectification keeps the efficiency above 85% across most of the load range, so the 6-DSBGA package doesn't need a heatsink or forced air.
Input range and temperature grade
Input voltage spans 2.3V to 5.5V — it runs from a single Li-ion cell (3.0–4.2V) or a 3.3V/5V rail.
