Dual 6 A step-down for tight rails
The 2.2 MHz switching frequency lets you use small 1 µH to 2.2 µH inductors and ceramic output capacitors, shrinking the total solution footprint for space-constrained point-of-load designs.
2.2 MHz switching — inductor and capacitor sizing
At 2.2 MHz, the switching period is about 455 ns. The high frequency also pushes the first LC resonance above 20 kHz, simplifying output noise filtering for noise-sensitive loads like RF transceivers or sensor front-ends.
Temperature range and board environment
The 16-VFQFN (3x2.5 mm) package has an exposed thermal pad; a solid copper pour on the top layer under the pad, with vias to an inner ground plane, keeps the junction temperature within the derating curve at full 6 A load in a 85°C ambient.
