Dual-output buck with asymmetric current rails
The TPS62421DRCT integrates two synchronous buck converters in a single 10-VSON package: one channel rated at 600 mA and the other at 1 A. Input voltage range is 2.5 V to 6 V, so it runs cleanly off a single Li-Ion cell, a 3.3 V or 5 V rail. The outputs are programmable via external resistors or fixed at 1.2 V and 1.8 V — the fixed version saves two feedback resistors on the board.
Synchronous rectification and temperature range
Both channels include synchronous rectifiers, which eliminate the external catch diode and improve efficiency at light load — expect >90 % efficiency in the mid-current range for each rail. The TPS62404QDRCRQ1 is a similar dual buck but with a 400 mA / 400 mA split and 2.3 MHz switching, also automotive-rated. If your application only needs a single 1 A rail, the TPS62824ADMQR is a single-output adjustable buck in the same package family.
The base product number is TPS62421, so any cross-reference or PCN will track under that root.
