Dual buck rail in a 3x3 mm footprint
The TPS62420DRCTG4 from Texas Instruments is a dual-channel step-down (buck) converter with a 600 mA and a 1 A output in a 10-VSON (3x3 mm) package. Synchronous rectification operates across the 2.5 V to 6 V input range, and the 2.25 MHz switching frequency supports small inductors and ceramic capacitors.
Output adjust range and thermal envelope
Both outputs are adjustable from a 0.6 V reference up to the input voltage (max 6 V). The 600 mA channel handles a light analog rail or I/O supply; the 1 A channel can power a core voltage or a small peripheral bus.
