Product details

Dual 800 mA rails from a 3x3 mm VSON

The TPS62410DRCR packs two independent 800 mA step-down converters into a 10-VFDFN exposed-pad package (10-VSON 3x3 mm). Each output is adjustable from 0.6 V up to the input voltage, so you can generate, say, a 3.3 V core rail and a 1.8 V I/O rail from a single 2.5 V to 6 V input bus — no external diode needed thanks to the integrated synchronous rectifier.

Switching at 2.25 MHz — small inductor, fast transient

The fixed 2.25 MHz switching frequency lets you use a 1 µH to 2.2 µH inductor and ceramic output capacitors, keeping the total solution footprint tight. That frequency also pushes the first harmonic well above the AM broadcast band, which simplifies EMI filtering in noise-sensitive receivers.

Industrial temp range — 85°C ceiling, not a typo

If your system sees sustained junction temperatures above 85°C — under-hood automotive or a motor-drive cabinet — this part is not the right fit. The 10-VSON exposed pad helps pull heat into the board copper, but the temperature grade is the hard limit.

Active production — no end-of-life on the horizon

There is no announced PCN or EOL notice. The base product number TPS62410 remains a current catalog line, so the DRCR variant is available for ongoing BOM commitments.

Frequently asked questions

Can TPS62410DRCR be used in a dual output 3.3 V and 1.8 V design?

Yes. With a 5 V input, you can set channel 1 to 3.3 V and channel 2 to 1.8 V using the external resistor divider. Each channel delivers up to 800 mA, so the total load on both rails must stay within the package thermal capability — the 10-VSON (3x3 mm) exposed pad helps but derate above 70°C ambient.
