The Texas Instruments TPS62360YZHR is a DCS-Control™ step-down (buck) regulator delivering 2.5A from a 2.5V to 5.5V input rail. The output is adjustable (programmable) from 0.77V up to 1.4V, with fixed-voltage options at 1V, 1.1V, and 1.4V. Switching at 2.5MHz lets you use small inductors and ceramics, keeping the total solution footprint tight — a common choice for powering processor cores, FPGA rails, or DDR termination voltages in portable and industrial gear.

The 2.5A continuous output covers most low-voltage core and I/O rails in handheld and embedded systems — think a 1.1V core supply pulling 1.8A at full tilt with headroom for transients. The 2.5MHz switching frequency pushes the fundamental ripple above the AM band and lets you select a 1 µH inductor and 10 µF output cap, saving board area.

That small footprint demands a controlled solder-paste stencil and a reflow profile matching JEDEC J-STD-020 for lead-free assembly.
