1A synchronous buck in a 2x2 mm WSON — what the package tells you
The 2.25 MHz switching frequency lets the designer use small 1 µH to 2.2 µH inductors and ceramic output capacitors, keeping the total solution footprint tight for space-constrained portable or industrial loads.
Input voltage range is 2.3 V to 6 V, covering single-cell Li-Ion (3.6 V nominal) and 5 V system rails. The output is fixed at 1.8 V — no external feedback divider needed, which saves two resistors and one node on the layout.
Rework note: that exposed pad is your friend and your risk
The 6-WSON (2x2) package has a centre thermal pad that must be soldered to the board's copper pour for the rated 1A output.
