2.25 MHz switching shrinks the passive bill
The 2.25 MHz switching frequency lets you use a small 1 µH to 2.2 µH inductor and a 10 µF ceramic output cap — the sort of 0805- and 1206-sized passives that keep the total solution footprint under 15 mm². That frequency also pushes the fundamental switching noise above the AM band, which simplifies filtering in RF-sensitive designs. The fixed 2.5 V output is set internally — no feedback divider resistors on the board.
