What this 600 mA buck buys you — and where it stops
The TPS62263DRVR is a fixed-output step-down (buck) converter from TI, delivering 600 mA from a 2 V to 6 V input rail. The 2.25 MHz switching frequency lets you use a small inductor — think 2.2 µH in a 0805 footprint — which saves board space on a sensor rail or a low-power logic supply. But the 600 mA ceiling means it is not for a motor driver or a radio PA; keep the load under 500 mA continuous to leave headroom for transients.
Fixed 2.5 V output — no feedback divider needed
The output is fixed at 2.5 V, so you skip the external feedback resistor divider. That saves two components and one potential divider-noise source.
Package and footprint — WSON with exposed pad
The 6-WSON (2x2 mm) package has an exposed pad underneath. Without that, the junction temperature climbs fast above 85 °C ambient. The 0.50 mm pitch is fine for a two-layer board if you route the output and input caps close to the pins.
