Automotive-rated 300 mA step-down for tight rails
It delivers 300 mA from a 2 V to 6 V input rail with a 2.25 MHz switching frequency. The fixed 1.2 V output and integrated synchronous rectifier eliminate the need for an external Schottky diode, simplifying the BOM for point-of-load supplies in automotive ECUs, sensor modules, and CAN transceiver rails.
Switching frequency and package — layout decisions
The 2.25 MHz switching frequency lets you use a small inductor (typically 2.2 µH to 4.7 µH) and small ceramic output capacitors, which keeps the total solution footprint tight for space-constrained automotive PCBs. The -40°C to 115°C operating temperature range covers under-hood and cabin environments.
