Fixed 3.3 V rail for sensor and MCU loads
The TPS62237DRYR is a synchronous step-down converter from Texas Instruments that delivers a fixed 3.3 V output at up to 500 mA from an input range of 2.05 V to 6 V.
Input range and output current — sizing the rail
With a minimum input of 2.05 V, this part can run directly from a single Li-ion cell (3.0 V to 4.2 V) or a regulated 3.3 V bus. The 6 V maximum input limits it to low-voltage supplies — not for 12 V or 24 V industrial rails. The 500 mA output ceiling covers small MCU cores, sensor transmitters, and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi modules; anything above that needs a higher-current sibling in the TPS6223x family. The 2 MHz switching also pushes ripple into a band that is easier to filter with small ceramics.

The 6-UFDFN package (1.45 mm x 1 mm) is a tiny SON with a centre pad for thermal dissipation; the board layout must match the recommended land pattern in the datasheet to avoid solder bridging and ensure adequate heat transfer.
