3 MHz switching — inductor size and BOM density
The TPS62233DRYT is a fixed 3 V output step-down converter from Texas Instruments, switching at 3 MHz and rated for 500 mA continuous output. The synchronous rectifier is on-chip, so there is no external Schottky diode to place.
Input range and operating temperature — where it fits
The fixed 3 V output suits loads that need a stable mid-rail — many wireless SoCs and small FPGAs run directly on 3 V without an extra LDO.
The 6-UFDFN package measures 1.45 mm x 1.0 mm with a 0.50 mm pitch — the supplier device code is 6-SON. The PCB land pattern needs a solder-mask-defined pad and a 0.30 mm stencil aperture for the centre pad to get good solder-joint reliability. Reflow profile follows standard JEDEC MSL-1 preconditioning; no bake required before assembly if the bag seal is intact.
That means no last-time-buy window is open, no end-of-life notice is pending, and the part is in normal production.
