1A automotive buck in a 3x3 QFN
The TPS62152AQRGTRQ1 is a 1A continuous output synchronous buck converter from Texas Instruments, part of the Automotive AEC-Q100 qualified series. It takes a 3V to 17V input and delivers a fixed 3.3V output — no external divider needed for that rail. Switching frequency is pin-strapped between 1.25 MHz and 2.5 MHz, letting you trade ripple vs efficiency depending on the inductor size you have room for. The synchronous rectifier keeps the efficiency curve above 90% across most of the load range, which matters when the regulator is sitting next to a hot engine ECU.
Package and temperature grade for the bench
Surface-mount only. The exposed pad footprint is critical for both thermal and electrical ground — a poor solder joint here shows up as a hot regulator on the IR camera during first-power checkout.
